The pre-order email implied it would be integrated with the events for a person, perhaps on the Timeline view where historical events can be shown, but this is not the case. It works by entering a place and date and bringing up one or more stations with the temperature and precipitation. Historical Weather is a separate function accessed from the TreeVault button in the main toolbar or the Plan workspace. Depending on how much space the media folder requires, you might have to pay additional for this storage.

However, if it works well, it seems like this might be a useful feature of TreeVault, enabling you to view your tree on a mobile device. I was not able to test Family Tree Maker Connect, since I don’t own an iPad or iPhone and the Android version isn’t available yet.
